OSHA Courses

Respiratory Protection (006)

Description
An estimated 5 million workers are required to wear respirators in 1.3 million workplaces in the United States. Respirators protect workers against insufficient oxygen environments, harmful dusts, fogs, smokes, mists, gases, vapors, and sprays. These hazards can cause numerous significant or deadly health results. OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard (1910.134) provides the foundational requirements to ensure worker safety. This course reviews proper use, care and maintenance of respirators, types of cartridges, regulations/standards, and the importance of proper selection and fit.
